  A wonderful tour guide
My wife and I and our three kids did two tours with Nina (Ancient Rome and a Walking Tour) in mid-January.  Nina was delightful, extremely knowledgeable (she is a trained archaeologist), she got on particularly well with our kids and couldn't have been more accommodating with our various requests.  We learned a great deal and had a thoroughly enjoyable experience.  Highly recommended!

  Nina is Incredible
My wife and our two teenagers spent a day and a half with Nina, touring the Vatican, Coliseum, Roman Forum, walking the main squares, Spanish Steps, etc.  Simply put - she was incredible.

Nina is full of passion and energy about Rome, with a warm disposition that will immediately make you feel comfortable.  My family not only loved the tours, we loved her! 

She's prepared, and organized.  While waiting in line for the early entry to the Vatican, she pulled out a large reproduction of the Sistine Chapel's ceiling, and panel-by-panel explained what was being done or said.  She did the same for the large wall at the end of the room.  Before we even got into the Chapel, we understood what it was, what it meant and what to look for.  We got so much more out of the experience because of her preparation.  Very impressive.

She will listen to you, understand what you're trying to accomplish and make things happen.  We happened to be in Rome over New Years, and hadn't made a dinner reservation for New Years Eve.  She made a bunch of call for us to find a spot, something she didn't need to do.

I prefer reviews that are concise, so I'll stop here.  But I can't say enough good things about Nina.  I would never dream of visiting Rome again without spending time with her.  She's without peer.

  Best Afternoon in Rome with Nina  - Shopping Tour
This is the best way to see Rome. Walking with Nina in the small streets and alleys in Rome  and getting to “find” the local shops and craftspeople perfecting their art.  How would you ever find any of this without Nina?

 We enjoyed every minute of our walking tour.  Nina made sure we saw all of the shops we wanted to see before they closed and she had to leave us. It was a great afternoon of shopping, chatting and wandering the city. 3 hours was not enough time to explore Rome this way.

We have to mention - Laura of Do You Explore provided a fabulous list of local places to eat in drink around all of neighborhoods. The one we picked with Nina’s recommendation did not disappoint - great pizza and salad. We needed to stay longer to try more of these recommendations.

  Excellent and informative tour
Luciana is a wonderful guide and she made the Vatican interesting for first time visitors as well as two of us that had been several times. You see a lot but it isn't overwhelming and there is some customization so you can choose what's most important to you.

  Nina is simply the best tour guide in Rome!!!
This was our second trip to Rome and our second tour with Nina. It was even better than the first! The tour was arranged by Laura who was incredibly kind and helpful. She and I communicated via email to craft the exact tour that my husband and I wanted...antient Rome and the "lasagna" church. Nina not only has incredible knowledge of her home town, she has participated in archeological digs across these ancient sites. Quite a different perspective and depth than most tour guides.   Nina....the best tour guide in Rome:)!
Not only was Nina pleasant, knowledgeable, informative, warm and friendly she was beyond patient with our group.  My family and I arrived about 10 minutes before we were set to meet her and were starving so we stood in line at the cafe and ended up being a few minutes late to meet Nina out front.  She let us stand in the skip the line, line while we ate and she went over information on the Sistine Chapel, which you aren't allowed to talk when viewing so she loaded us up with need to know info and then led us in.  Our teenager ended up loosing his ticket somewhere between the entrance and the museum so she patiently took him to buy a new ticket and still had some tricks up her sleeve to get us in past the line so we got into the chapel before it got too crowded to enjoy.  In the museum we got to experience a secret room that is closed off to the general public but because Nina is so incredible we were able to go behind the scenes!  The experience as a whole was amazing!  I would highly recommend this tour and any other tour given by Nina at DoYouExplore!

  Best Colosseum tour with NINA!
My 13 yr old son and I enjoyed Nina's enthusiastic and passionate tour of Rome and the ancient history of the Colosseum and Roman Forum. There is nothing better than learning about Ancient Rome from someone who has a PhD in archaeology and can explain it all and in a fun way! She's positive. energetic but above-all,most knowledgeable about the Colosseum and I would highly recommend this one or any of her private tours in Rome.   Best Vatikan tour ever
Thank You "Do You Explore" for contribute to a most wonderful stay in Rom, . The guided tour led by Nina to the Vatikan state and St:t Peterschurch was the best guided tour we ever had and it was adaptet to our "nipote" 12 years old in a fantastic way.   Nina is AMAZING!!!
This my first time over seas and I didn't know what to expect. I was so overwhelmed with the all of the sights, sounds, and smells it was hard to take it all in. Nina was an amazing tour guide giving me the history and stories behind all of the attractions that we saw! she was truly amazing. She brought the historical locations to life giving me a much greater appreciation for where I was and what I was seeing. She was more knowledgeable than any book you could buy and was an absolute delight to be with, I didn't want the tours to end! If you are in Rome and you want to not only see the attractions but actually learn about them and get a sense of what life was like back then I HIGHLY RECOMMEND hiring NINA for a tour! You will not be disappointed! As soon as I can make it back she will be the first person I call!
